Try this Cheesy Chicken Tikka Macaroni Bake Today!

Make your own tikka spice mix and use it to make this easy, cheesy macaroni bake. This is your treat to yourself after eating all those salads.

Chicken Tikka Macaroni Bake


  • 1 ½ tblsps paprika
  • 1 tblsp coriander powder
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tblsp cooking oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 500 gms chicken
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 4 tblsp flour
  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500 gms macaroni
  • 1 capsicum, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 2 cups grated cheese


  1. Make the tikka masala by mixing all the spices in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and saute the garlic till fragrant. Add the chicken and cook till it changes colors.
  3. Add the tikka masala mix and stir fry until your chicken is done.
  4. To make the white sauce, melt the butter in a pan until it bubbles. Add the flour and mix. Pour in the milk one cup at a time until a thick sauce is made and there are no lumps. Lastly add the salt and mix.
  5. In a pot of boiling, salted water cook your macaroni until it is done, 10-12 minutes. Drai the water and put the macaroni back in the pot.
  6. Mix in the vegetables and chicken in the macaroni. Add the white sauce and mix through.
  7. Layer half the macaroni in a baking dish and sprinkle 1 cup of the cheese. Add the remaining macaroni and top with the remaining cup of cheese.
  8. Bake in the oven till cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve!
